Candlenut Oil
Plant Origin
The candlenut tree thrives in tropical climates with high humidity, especially in Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines. It is a tall tree that can grow up to 15–25 meters, producing hard-shelled fruits containing a single seed — the source of candlenut oil.
Dried candlenut seeds contain approximately 50–60% natural oil, making them a rich source for extraction.

Candlenut Oil (Aleurites moluccanus Oil)
Candlenut oil, also known as Kukui Nut Oil or Kemiri Oil, is a natural vegetable oil extracted from the seeds of the candlenut tree (Aleurites moluccanus), native to tropical regions such as Indonesia. For centuries, this oil has been widely recognized for its remarkable benefits in hair and skin care, as well as its applications in traditional and cosmetic industries.
Extraction Process
Candlenut oil is produced using two primary methods:
Cold-Pressed Method
The seeds are pressed without heating to retain their full nutrient content. The result is a pale yellow oil with a mild aroma.Expeller-Pressed / Roasted Method
The seeds are lightly roasted before extraction, creating a thicker oil with a more distinct nutty scent.
